good sound on a budget
used these to replace the factory speakers in my Chevy Colorado. with some modification was able to put in the back doors also. The Sound is much better than expected, especially with Baupunkt head unit.
Update (2/6/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen. I also found some auctions for this item here.

Good woofer, bad tweeter
The nicest feature about these speakers is the fit. They dropped right into a factory location to replace the front stock speakers in my ‘96 Integra. To that end, they are an improvement on the degraded cones that I am replacing. Unfortunately, the sound of these component tweeters is tinny and harsh, with obvious distortion present. I left them disconnected. Had I known the sound quality was this inferior, I would not have spent the extra money for the component version of the speakers. As I had already cut wires to connect the tweeters, I can not return them. Luckily, the woofers supply sufficient low to mid-range sound that I am happy with the purchase. I do feel like I overpaid, given that I only used the main speakers of these components.
