Good sound - difficult controls
I got this player for my parents as a gift since they use a small stereo/radio in the kitchen and this one was very versatile. The CD sound was pretty good, although the bass boom didn’t do much as far as changing the quality and an equalizer of some kind would have been better. The problem came when we tried to get in a radio station - the machine is a silver color and all the controls (station numbers, choices, etc) are all in a very fine font and light blue! We had to get a flashlight to try and see the numbers and controls and it was still difficult - you really couldn’t tell what station you were and had to be directly over the machine with a flashlight to see the numbers. The control labels were the same - very hard to see against the silver. The AM channels, which my parents like, didn’t come in or were very noisy and it only picked up a few FM channels. Disappointing - but I guess you get what you pay for. We are returning the unit to Amazon - at least they make the returns easy.

A fine little portable stereo
We have had this stereo for almost a month and it has, as expected, given its very low price. We chose to fit a small space on our kitchen table. The radio, cassette and CD players are very easy to use. The sound quality is good enough on this application that meets our needs.

nice for the price
Nice sound for the price, and easy to use. I got it to use with headphones for Hemi-Sync and other binaural beat CDs & tapes, and for the radio.
