Starts as a good idea?

This product seems like a great idea, but in reality, or I should say in my opinion, they fall short of what they are trying to achieve! (First, the item has basically no instructions.) Now let me say that I am not an engineer, but I usually do not have an issue putting things together? This was supposed to go on an older Land Rover, and if you know anything about LR’s, you know that if you own one, you are always working on it! With this said, I think I should be able to handle this product? (Second, when looking online, you would think that you would be able to find some sort of instructions? Well what I do find is even less then what was on the package?)

Basically, I think it could be a good product and very handy but we all know a product is only as good as its ability to save us time and protect the items we already own. As I said, it starts as a good idea as far as preventing someone from stealing our Jack, but it is so non-user friendly it almost makes it worthless? I think it would be a good product if they had just taken some time and included some instructions, maybe even something a little more then telling us how it can be used, how about showing us some of the ways that it can be used on different installations! With this being said I am a little torn as far as giving it a 2 star rating or a 3 star rating? If I could I would give it a 2 1/2 star rating, however since I cannot do this, I will just give it a 3 Star Rating and call it a day!
