Good mug…one thing odd (for me)

I received one of these mugs for Christmas last year, and I liked it so much that I bought this 2 pack from Amazon. Great mug (yes it’s plastic inside, but I don’t care). Keeps my coffee hot, doesn’t leak, and doesn’t burn my lips when I sip it (I had one of those high tech vacuum seal mugs that was great for eliminating spills, but always burned my mouth because of the way the lid was designed).

Only odd thing is this….now that I have 3 of these, and they all look identical, I’ve learned that the lids are not necessarily interchangeable. If you match up the lid that came with the mug, then the hole lines up perfectly, so that if you’re holding the mug with your right hand, the hole is perfectly centered in the middle of the mug. If you put a different lid on, although it looks identical, when you screw it on the hole rotates a few degrees past center. Only a slight annoyance, but I keep the mugs on the shelf and the lids in the drawer, so I never know which lid goes with which mug. It’s just enough of an irritation for me that I end up trying lids until I find the one that came with the mug. Just a quirky way that threads are cut I guess. I never noticed it when I only had 1 mug!

Overall, recommended.
